The Advanced Oncology Center (AOC) is envisioned as a leading institution for oncology care within the UAE and the wider Gulf region, establishing a new benchmark for patient experience, medical excellence, and integrated treatment environments. The project’s approach is centered on a hospitality-driven patient experience: one that combines clinical functionality with a calm, carefully considered atmosphere rooted in privacy, comfort, and accessibility. The architectural language draws from the visual identity of Sharjah.
Our work on the visualizations focused on translating the architectural intent with a high level of precision, particularly in relation to façade detailing, materiality, and surface behavior. From the outset, the objective was to achieve a representation that felt both technically accurate and visually convincing, in direct alignment with the client’s brief.
Particular attention was given to the terracotta fluted façade system, which we developed and refined specifically for the project. Material definition, rhythm, depth, and light interaction were carefully calibrated to ensure the façade retained its intended character across all views and lighting conditions. For the breezeblock elements, we implemented a parametric workflow within our 3D software. This allowed the system to adapt efficiently to curved geometries and remain flexible throughout the design process, particularly as revisions and formal adjustments occurred. The approach ensured both consistency and responsiveness without compromising the architectural integrity of the model.
This technical rigor was complemented by an equally deliberate image-making process. Through multiple rounds of visual development and post-production, we refined atmosphere, contrast, and focal hierarchy, emphasizing the qualities that defined the project and strengthening the overall impact of the imagery.
