Positioned at the centre of Romania's most iconic mountain resort, the Jakob Sonne development brings the branded residences model to an alpine setting: combining private holiday homes with hotel-operated units and integrated hospitality facilities, designed to meet international resort standards and appeal equally to lifestyle buyers and long-term investors.
The Panoptikon was commissioned to visualise the development across both the exterior and interior, placing the buildings within their mountain setting and designing the luxury residential interiors that define the residences' character.
Spanning two hectares in the heart of Romania's most prominent ski and leisure destination, the development will comprise five distinct buildings and a full suite of five-star hospitality amenities. This project serves both those seeking a premium holiday home and investors drawn to the managed rental model.
For the exterior imagery, materials and architectural detail were represented with precision, but it was the landscape that demanded the most attention.
The natural setting is the project's defining quality. Every tree and element of vegetation was placed with care to root the buildings convincingly within Poiana Brașov, as though they had always been there.
We built the interior images around a single ambition: to reflect the quality of the setting in every surface, material, and object within the frame. Dark timber ceiling beams, light oak panelling, marble, and stone were chosen with close attention to texture and finish. Each material reinforces the alpine character of the residences without retreating into the expected.
Furniture selection was given as much thought as any other aspect of the work. Organic, curved forms sit alongside refined Scandinavian pieces and woven textures, each piece chosen not just to fill the space, but to say something about it. The staging feels lived-in and considered, communicating the quality of the residences without overstating it.
