SLS Residences The Palm Dubai
The developer’s vision for SLS Residences The Palm Dubai was to create an ultra-luxury project with beachfront access and endless amenities, situated in one of the most desirable locations in Dubai, on the man-made island of Palm Jumeirah.
Appointed with the creation of the marketing 3D visuals, we wanted to capture the allure of the island paradises like the Maldives and create a haven of luxury at the heart of Dubai.

Understanding the market
Understanding the expectations and preferences of the luxury real estate market in Dubai was critical in our approach. Recognizing the market’s preference for golden sands and blue waters, we sought to recreate this in our visuals, despite the contrasting environmental conditions in Dubai.
Process and perspective
Our process begins with the investigation of potential views using tools like Google Earth. We also refer to client-specified views or guidelines and begin the process of refining these into our final images.
This involves applying texturing, trying out different lighting conditions, and drawing from local references to ensure we capture the unique Dubai atmosphere accurately.
How we built the scene
We started with the 3D model our client sent us and focused on making it feel like a real place. For that, we looked closely at Dubai’s beach lounges and local plants.
We matched the furniture and styling to real Dubai lounges, and we made sure the greenery was true to the area, like date palms and local shrubs, instead of plants from other regions.
For the background views, we wanted them to feel real too. We asked a local photographer to capture the exact angles and lighting we needed, so the backplates would blend perfectly with our 3D renders.
Respecting Local Customs in Character Design
Understanding of the local culture played a significant role in the character designs. Considering the local customs, characters were decently dressed, showing minimal skin.
Being mindful of these cultural norms made the images feel real and show respect for the local way of life.
The blue waters of Dubai
From the outset, our draft renderings were infused with beauty and appeal. A color palette consisting of blue-green pools and blue offshore water was carefully chosen to capture the desired ambiance.
Despite the natural water conditions in Dubai, our clients were specific in their request for blue waters in these CGIs.
Efficient task management to overcome challenges
Efficient task management tools and communication platforms kept the project on schedule. We use advanced workflows that make it easy to adapt to changes in plans or direction, and to meet new requirements as they come up.
Our team is proficient with tools that support our work and our clients, from automation software and communication platforms to virtual whiteboards and task management systems, and we use them to keep every stage of development running smoothly.
Impact
The Palm Dubai project reflected the local culture, sparked emotion, and drew interest and curiosity. The renders blended naturally into their environment while standing out through carefully highlighted features.
We’re excited of both the beautiful, high-quality imagery that brought the project to life and the behind-the-scenes work that made it possible: close collaboration, clear communication, smooth execution, and a strong partnership with our client.
